LA VOIX DE PIAF dans le Film « La MOME »

Lorsque Jil chante cet HOMMAGE A EDITH PIAF, c'est une autre voix de moineau. Elle nous rentre dans la peau, par le bas, par le haut, son envie de chanter, c'est physique. Tout son être est tendu, son souffle est suspendu, c'est une vraie tordue de musique !  

Découverte par Ginou Richer, amie proche d’Edith Piaf, cette artiste a été choisie pour être la voix chantée de Piaf dans le film La MOME d’Olivier Dahan ( Elle est donc la voix de Marion Cotillard ).
Depuis le triomphe du film, elle a conquis la France et l’Europe avec une aisance et un talent lumineux en offrant au public des concerts chargés d’émotions et de grâce.

Son succès grandissant l’a poussée jusqu’aux Etats Unis, où l’artiste a le plus souvent joué à guichets fermés lors de ses tournées de 2009, 2011, 2012.
Un brillant hommage à l’icône de la chanson française, constitué de refrains intemporels qui ont su traverser le siècle et les frontières pour rester gravés dans la mémoire collective...


Un hommage tellement juste que le miracle s’est produit, a fleur de peau, inexplicable. La magie du spectacle vivant.

Plantée sur la scène avec son micro, les mains sur les hanches... on y croit car elle chante juste et vrai ! Le répertoire est celui de Piaf mais cette artiste semble elle aussi ne vivre que pour le public. Simple, authentique, sincère elle chante avec ses tripes et dans la sale le frisson passe.
Lorsque Jil entonne « Non je ne regrette rien » le public se lève et applaudit debout pour une véritable ovation !

Edith Piaf was one of the most popular French singers of the 1940s and ‘50s, internationally famous for her husky, mournful voice and her songs of loneliness and despair. Born in Paris to street entertainers, her childhood was marked by poverty, illness and temporary blindness. After a stint with her father’s touring acrobatic act, she sang in the streets until she was discovered by promoter Louis Leplee, who re-named her «la môme Piaf» («the waif sparrow»). The diminutive singer gained popularity as she toured France, singing in cabarets and vaudeville theaters and, beginning in 1936, performing on radio and recordings. Her great fame came after World War II, with her song «Le Vie en Rose» becoming an international standard. She toured the United States several times beginning in the late 1940s and English versions of her songs made the pop charts in the World.

Aside from her physical transformation, Cotillard is praised for her effortless lip-synching throughout some of Piaf’s most memorable performances.
